U.S Ranger wont be offered with regular cab

According to a 2019 VIN document submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration by Ford, the inbound U.S Ranger will only be offered in a 4 door across all trim levels. Looks like any U.S owners hoping for a new one row Ranger, will have to look to foreign markets. And it still looks like there is only one engine to be offered at first, the 2.3liter turbocharged 4 cylinder.

Makes sense if they look at market trends as most people seem to go for the variant with more utility, which is a four door. At least you can get your RWD, Supercab Ranger with a “bed delete” if a flatbed is needed.

Not all that surprising considering how limited cabin space was in the regular cab. Looks like its another reason for old gen Ranger owners to hold onto their models. Have they confirmed the change in dimensions from SuperCab to SuperCrew?

Even the Supercab is pushing it in terms of utility IMO. Remember the pictures from the Ranger CIAS thread?
That's enough space for half a butt cheek and your legs if you slant sideways and squeeze in somehow.

Those are the back seats in the Supercab? Those look borderline useless. Guess we'll have to see what changes come to the cabin in the Supercrew variant. Have they announced price differences between the various cabs yet?

Pricing figures are still somewhat limited, but its a safe bet that it there will be a couple grand disparity between cab sizes. I can see what Ford opted not to bother with a regular cab with the available space.
