bull bar, fender flares, deflectors, its all coming!

If you're like me and no stranger to the segment this Ford Ranger competes in then this leak of an accessories list comes to no surprise. It is after all one of the only ways Ford can push a strong culture around the returning Ranger to give Toyota a run for their money.

Happy to say that aftermarket companies are already jumping on the Ranger and showing interest. Thule for example already has the Ranger in their system but no products listed just yet...

Wow, I don't remember the last time we saw a new truck launch with an accessories list like this. The pricing seems fairly reasonable as well for OEM parts.

Ford has finally realized just how lucrative the aftermarket is for pickups and they know just how much new buyers want customization options. By offering them from factory they guarantee quality and secure a new revenue stream.

Nissan did a great job of taking advantage of the aftermarket once at SEMA the new Titan prior to its release. Haven't seen other pick up makers follow in those footsteps!

We will just have to wait and see what pricing is like for third party options. OEM branded parts typically come with a steeper price tag, and not always are they higher quality products.

for OEM comparable parts, they are often cheaper by 10-20% and in some cases they can be better material, not always OE's get it right, keep in mind that they contract this stuff out as well.

With bolt on accessories there isn't a whole lot of reason to go with OEM parts. Its when you start getting into aftermarket performance mods that it starts becoming a risk. You get what you pay for what it comes to parts.

sometimes there are and for me it comes down to what build quality is like and just the fact there might be any truly reputable brands out there making parts for us.
with past vehicles I have noticed that to be the case so I ended up buying used OEM parts.
