Ranger Raptor Production Timelapse

Now that production on the Ranger Raptor is underway, Ford recently dropped this trailer of some of the process. Not really sure what most of the captions are, but now that we've seen a LHD model, we at least know the odds of it being offered in North America are quite high.

Nice video of the production process but it would be better if they shown us something unique about what might be happening with the Raptor vs Other Ford Products.

Without that they might as well show us a Ford Fiesta being produced.

Hopefully a translated version come out with English captions, so we can better understand what exactly is being demonstrated here. The rotational dip prior to painting was pretty neat, ensures there are no missed surfaces.

I agree.

It would benefit both Ford and the consumer, knowing more about a product can help sway you either side.
In a product built around passion, showing that in the production process is essential.

It also looks like with each new region that its announced for, that we see a further drop in its MSRP. I find it pretty hard to believe that people in Thailand/Australia are willing to pay $70k for this variant.

Well for many foreign countries this is the first time they are seeing a Raptor variant. I personally wouldn't drop that kind of money on a Ranger, but I'm sure Ford will make the proper adjustments for North America. I do think they will have to make it more powerful to get people interested.

Yeah the turbo diesel seems to have plenty pickup and go, but I'm already hearing complaints about its passing capabilities on the freeway. You also really need to take into account what kind of utility you need, because the Raptor variant offers less towing and hauling.

We wont be getting the bi turbo diesel in North America, but I would imagine that the power outputs will be fairly similar, regardless of the engine they choose. This is another reason why Ford Performance should really start offering some proper tunes/aftermarket mods.

I hope they tune these for more lower end power because this segment is being used more for work and recreational tasks that require some decent power.
Essentially, people are pushing these to the point that any more and something in the F150 segment should be considered.

From some of the reviews I've been seeing out of Australia, it looks like the Ranger Raptor has plenty of low end power. It's passing on the freeway where the powerplant starts to show its weakness. And keep in mind that the RR offers a good bit less towing and payload capacity over the standard model.
