Ford should consider providing incentives for anyone who's looking to get some of these accessories/add ons directly from the factory. Perhaps bundling them into packages could help save some money off the top.

problem with that is when this segment has been one of the more lucrative and people will get accessories regardless, what reason does Ford have left? None as far as i'm concerned.

I think the majority of interest is going to be on the base spec trims, which will leave owners with more money for accessories and add ons. It doesn't really make a lot of sense to step up to the Lariat, when you could spend the same money on a base F150.

coming from SUV's like the Wrangler and FJ Cruiser, I have seen the same thing play out and its what these brand depend on as their money makers.
very similar to how Mercedes sells a lot of base CLA's and base C-Class sedans. Every car maker needs its "ATM's"
